Type: Avro Vulcan B Mk.2 – XM600 of 9 Squadron around 1968
Extras used: OOB (Out of the Box) apart from aftermarket decals.
Paints and colours used:
Camo: Tamiya Ocean Grey 2 (RAF) XF-82,  Tamiya Dark Green 2 (RAF) XF-81. Underside Tamiya Flat White XF-1. Final clear coat – Klear Mk2 and lots of Micro-meshing.
Weathering:
Flory Dark Dirt & grime wash for exterior. Chalk pastel & Tamiya Smoke streaking/smoke effects. AK Interactive enamel Fuel Stains (for fuel stains) and Streaking Grime (for grimy streaks).

    That’s a pretty cool representation of the old beast as i remember her from my days as a Cold War Warrior on Line Servicing Squadron at RAF Waddington. A really great job.

    You made a really great job of the vulcan Richard, takes me back to my days as an armourer on 9, 12 and 35 Sqdn at RAF Coningsby in the 60’s when they were anti flash white.
