Well it’s only taken about 3 months, but the Tamiya 1/48 BAe Sea Harrier FRS.1 (SHAR) is finished and the final reveal photos are done – you can check out the reveal photos here 😀
This kit is a complete dog to build, it needs tons of work to bring it up to scratch, but in the end it’s all worth it to end up with a nice FRS.1 in full Falklands 1982 Warpaint.
For this one I did a full build log of my progress as the kit was beaten into submission including a full re-scribe, canopy sanding and polishing, carving of NACA ducts using a Trumpeter 1mm Chisel and cutting of auxiliary intakes to name but a few… You can read the build thread here.
By the way, these reveal photos were the first that I took with my new Canon EOS 60D. What a great bit of kit that is!
