A MiG 15 rolls out of the hangar…

Airfix 1/72 MiG 15 bisMy latest finished build, an Airfix 1/72 MiG 15 bis has rolled out of the hangar and is up there in the Completed Builds section.

This kit was my first stab at NMF (Natural Metal Finish) and I’m really pleased how she turned out. I’ve also posted the build log for the MiG which contains loads of useful info on using Mr Model Color Buffable Metalizers.

The kit is one of Airfix’s “New Tool” kits and the quality is excellent! The undercarriage clicks firmly into place and only needs glue to stop it dropping out when you pick it up, and the canopy is a work of art – very thin and very clear. Definitely worth a go if you fancy building the first of the classic Russian fighter jets!

Thanks for visiting!

I write this blog for fun, to share what I've learned, and to share my builds with you. If you like what you see here please leave a comment, and head over to facebook and like my page!
